She was pretty sure that this was Sigyn’s place. She took a deep breath and knocked. “Sigyn I need to talk to you.”
He shrugged nonchalant as a wicked grin split his face, “As dirty as you do.”
She grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at him. “Is that all you think about?”
He caught it as he laughed. “Pot’s calling the kettle black, Babe. I wasn’t thinking about that at all~! I was just fantasizing about your superb larceny skills.”
“Sure you were.” Not long after she said that she groaned. “What the hell. I must be going crazy. Where the hell did that come from?”
For the first time she gave him a soft smile. “Can you do that though? Can you sit here and tell me you can honestly turn the worry off?”
He sighed and pressed his head against her nearest body part, which happened to be her thigh, “I can try. I won’t bring it up. I can… hide it. Make it so you don’t have to think about it.”
“Yeah?” She thought about it for a minute and then sighed, “It’s a nice idea, but you would just go crazy….well crazier.”
He paused to blink at her dully, “…Okay, but you were still angry and emotional. I just figured you’d prefer the reason being your own chemical makeup instead of it all being about having feeeeeliiiings for me.”
Her glare became like daggers. “You play dirty.”
He shrugged nonchalant as a wicked grin split his face, “As dirty as you do.”
She grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at him. “Is that all you think about?”
“If I remember correctly I told you you cou-” His feet shifted from under him and there was a few long seconds of Dwayne sitting hard on his ass, frozen in pain from waking old whip lashes. He made a sad dog’s whining noise.
“Yeah, but both of us know you did that out of anger and really didn’t want me to” she said smugly and snickered as he whined.
He laid back and rolled over so that his ass was nowhere near the torturous floor. “…Well that’s just the thing. If I make myself not care, you’d be free to do whatever you want. You’d be happy.”
For the first time she gave him a soft smile. “Can you do that though? Can you sit here and tell me you can honestly turn the worry off?”
“What?! Why is it anytime I do anything these days it due to hormones? Can’t I due anything without that getting in the way?”
He paused to blink at her dully, “…Okay, but you were still angry and emotional. I just figured you’d prefer the reason being your own chemical makeup instead of it all being about having feeeeeliiiings for me.”
Her glare became like daggers. “You play dirty.”
She gave him a weak smile. “See…I told you that you should have let me go to her, then all of this could have been avoided.” She then quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him to make him fall on his ass.
“What? Why not” she whined. “He was being a jackass and I’m pretty sure he threatened both of us. That deserves something.”
“I think you might be blowing things out of proportion. You’re hormonal and freaking out because I was in danger and you wanted someone that you could aim at to blame.”
“What?! Why is it anytime I do anything these days it due to hormones? Can’t I due anything without that getting in the way?”
“Gods” she groaned and sunk to the ground. After just sitting there for a few moments she looked up at him and asked, “Why were you depressed?”
He watched her sink, momentarily entertained at the way she melodramatically dropped to the floor before crouching down next to her. Ugh, now she was making him think ever farther back? “Sigyn attacked me. And then you wanted to go ‘talk’ to her and I panicked and yelled at you and then you left and so I drank and drank and I don’t know what I said to Damon and then he yelled at you? And then you left left me and I got scared and couldn’t deal with it and now we both feel like shit.” He huffed, recalling the vicious spiral in a haunted tone that sped up as he went. “Baby, I’m crazy.”
She gave him a weak smile. “See…I told you that you should have let me go to her, then all of this could have been avoided.” She then quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him to make him fall on his ass.
Her glare only made him grin more, “And you don’t want to kill your friends?”
“I didn’t know I considered him a friend” she muttered under her breath. “Fine I won’t kill him.”
“He’s your friend by extension of Cleo.” He explained with his lids closed, then he looked at her, “You can’t irreparably maim him, either.”
“What? Why not” she whined. “He was being a jackass and I’m pretty sure he threatened both of us. That deserves something.”
“… Because I couldn’t handle my emotions. I was sad that I yelled at you. …It was just to pass the time at first, I swear.”
“Okay…I get that” she said with a sigh. “But, it became something else. What happened?”
“Something else?” He blinked more, looking at the ground, “I was already depressed to begin with I don’t know what changed.”
“Gods” she groaned and sunk to the ground. After just sitting there for a few moments she looked up at him and asked, “Why were you depressed?”
Bella was trying to sneak away from the scene. It would be harder since she was covered in blood, not all of which was hers, when she heard a strange sound. “What the hell?” she muttered and went to go investigate.
He tilted he head towards her with a smile, “I’m chill if you are.”
She glared at him for a moment. “Fine” she muttered. “I’m calm”
Her glare only made him grin more, “And you don’t want to kill your friends?”
“I didn’t know I considered him a friend” she muttered under her breath. “Fine I won’t kill him.”
He blinked, “Nothing. I drank everything in the house. There’s booze there.”
“And you were trying to get drunk because?”
“… Because I couldn’t handle my emotions. I was sad that I yelled at you. …It was just to pass the time at first, I swear.”
“Okay…I get that” she said with a sigh. “But, it became something else. What happened?”
“I wasn’t boring~” He whined, looking devastated that she even hinted at the idea, “I did drug runs. I robbed a casino. Without, I add, knowing how to use a gun.”
She put her hands up in mock surrender. “Hey, chill. I was just going off what you said. Got it not boring. Bad ass.”
He tilted he head towards her with a smile, “I’m chill if you are.”
She glared at him for a moment. “Fine” she muttered. “I’m calm”
